Who We Are
ITEL Laboratories, Inc. is an independent testing laboratory servicing the property insurance industry. Our mission is to help insurance companies quickly, accurately, and fairly settle claims. ITEL has been in business since 1993 and has performed well over 1 million tests for property insurance carriers throughout the United States and Canada.
ITEL has been purchased by private equity firm The Riverside Company, allowing for an even faster expansion of ITEL’s services. More information is available in the press release.

What We Do
ITEL tests flooring and siding samples sent from loss sites to determine comparable replacement products and, for flooring, a fair settlement price. Our technology-driven testing process and advanced database of flooring and siding products help us quickly and accurately test and match incoming samples with products and prices available in today’s market. ITEL tests Carpet, Pad, Vinyl, Wood, and Laminate Flooring, as well as Vinyl and Aluminum Siding.
ITEL also assists with water mitigation vendors compare and document their psychrometric readings with the DryAdvise service. In 2009, ITEL will be launching ceramic and stone tile analysis, along with analysis for roofing shingles.
