Scheduled ITEL Training
ITEL will come to your office, meeting, store or tradeshow to provide concise, relevant training to property adjusters, contractors, and other professionals who work in the claims industry.
- Flooring Basics: carpet, vinyl, laminate and wood (2 hours; CE credits available*)
- Hard Surface Flooring Basics: vinyl, laminate and wood (1.5 hours)
- ITEL Basics: highlights of the 2-hour flooring class as well as ways to better utilize ITEL’s Customer Service (1 hour or less)
In addition to being helpful to adjusters who have little or no knowledge of what to look for when handling flooring claims, these presentations can provide new tips to experienced adjusters. Flooring and siding classes are offered free-of-charge to ITEL’s customers with an audience of 12 or more adjusters on a scheduled basis.

Training Class Details
Flooring Basics Class
This class includes a thorough review of basic flooring terminology, and how certain specifications can affect flooring claims (e.g. delamination and installation issues, durability, cleanability, pricing). The hard surface flooring portion also includes basic terminology, basic installation knowledge, how certain specifications affect flooring claims, as well as repair options, including what to look for in regards to common issues such as moisture damage, noise, cracking, fading, gaps, etc.
A class exercise done at the beginning of class and reviewed at the end, highlights the need to consider all parameters when determining the value of flooring. The class concludes with an ITEL review including suggestions on how to handle specialty flooring issues, disputes, style/receipt investigation (determining if the product could be LKQ), etc.
Hard Surface Basics
An in-depth review of vinyl, laminate and wood terminology (seen on ITEL lab reports), e.g. construction, species, forms, wearlayer, AC Rating, Class, Core, as well as installation and basic repair options. The class assists adjusters with what to look for in regards to common issues such as moisture damage, noise, cracking, fading, gaps, etc. The class concludes with an ITEL review including suggestions on how to handle specialty flooring issues, disputes, style/receipt investigation (determining if the product could be LKQ), etc.

Continuing Education Credit
The 2-hour Flooring Basics Class is approved for 2 hours of CE credit for the following states: Florida, Texas, Delaware, Connecticut, Utah, Georgia, Oklahoma, Kentucky, North Carolina, and Wyoming.
The 1-hour Siding Claims Overview is approved for 1 hour of CE credit in FL.
The 1-hour Roofing Claims Overview is approved for 1 hour of CE credit in FL.
