ITEL Material Analysis and Reports

ITEL provides a complete laboratory report based on comprehensive analysis of flooring and siding products to enable a fair settlement on property claims.

Material Analysis

ITEL provides analysis on a variety of flooring and siding products.

• Carpet: Residential and light commercial carpet.
• Pad & Underlayment: Tested free-of-charge when sent with a flooring sample.
• Sheet Vinyl and Tile Vinyl Flooring: Residential and commercial resilient flooring, including linoleum and vinyl. Additional asbestos testing on the vinyl sample is also available (see Additional Services).
• Wood Flooring: Solid, engineered and hybrid wood flooring.
• Laminate Flooring: Residential and commercial laminate flooring.
• Siding: Aluminum, hardboard, Masonite, steel and vinyl siding.

Laboratory Reports

Once the material is analyzed, ITEL quickly returns a comprehensive report by e-mail or fax.

Flooring

Reports include:

• The specifications of the flooring sample (construction, fiber, wearlayer, etc.)
• Up to 3 active styles of flooring available in today’s market that are of like kind and quality to the tested sample
• An ITEL benchmark settlement price

Siding

Reports include:

• The physical specifications of the siding sample (profile, projection, height, gauge, etc.)
• The manufacturer and line name of the original siding and availability in the current market
• Suppliers for both current and discontinued siding when available
• Comparable siding products with similar specifications and the names of suppliers (if the original siding is no longer available)
